Maintenance and repair of CNC machine tools

Oct 06, 2023Leave a message

Extend the lifespan and wear cycle of components, prevent various faults, and improve the average time between failures and service life of CNC machine tools.
Precautions for use
1. The usage environment of CNC machine tools: For CNC machine tools, it is best to place them in a constant temperature environment and away from equipment with high vibration (such as punching machines) and equipment with electromagnetic interference;
2. Power requirements;
3. CNC machine tools should have operating procedures: regular maintenance and upkeep should be carried out, and any malfunctions should be recorded and protected on site;
4. CNC machine tools should not be sealed for a long time, as long-term storage system failures and data loss may occur;
5. Pay attention to training and equipping operators, maintenance personnel, and programming personnel.
Maintenance Charter
Maintenance of CNC system
1. Strictly follow the operating procedures and daily maintenance system.
2. Prevent dust from entering the CNC device: Floating dust and metal powder can easily cause a decrease in insulation resistance between components, leading to malfunctions and even damage to components.
3. Regularly clean the heat dissipation and ventilation system of the digital control cabinet.
4. Regularly monitor the power grid voltage of the CNC system: the power grid voltage range is between 85% and 110% of the rated value.
5. Regularly replace the storage battery.
6. Maintenance of the CNC system when not in use for a long time: Regularly power up the CNC system or run a warm program on the CNC machine tool.
7. Maintenance of mechanical components for spare circuit boards.
Maintenance of mechanical components
1. Maintenance of tool magazine and tool changing manipulator
1) When manually loading the tool onto the magazine, ensure that it is properly installed and check whether the locking on the tool holder is reliable;
2) It is strictly prohibited to load overweight or excessively long cutting tools into the tool library to prevent the mechanical arm from dropping the tool or colliding with the workpiece, fixture, etc. during tool replacement;
3) When using the sequential tool selection method, it is necessary to pay attention to whether the order in which the tools are placed on the tool magazine is correct. Other tool selection methods should also pay attention to whether the tool number being replaced is consistent with the required tool, to prevent accidents caused by changing the wrong tool;
4) Pay attention to maintaining the cleanliness of the tool handle and sleeve;
5) Regularly check whether the zero return position of the tool magazine is correct, check whether the position of the tool change point of the machine tool spindle is in place, and adjust it in a timely manner, otherwise the tool change action cannot be completed;
6) When starting the machine, the tool magazine and robotic arm should be run empty first to check whether all parts are working properly, especially whether the travel switches and solenoid valves can operate normally.
2. Maintenance of ball screw pairs
1) Regularly check and adjust the axial clearance of the screw nut pair to ensure the accuracy and axial stiffness of the reverse transmission;
2) Regularly check whether the connection between the screw support and the bed is loose and whether the support bearing is damaged. If there are any of the above problems, timely tighten the loose parts and replace the support bearings;
3) The ball screw adopts lubricating grease, and the old grease on the screw is cleaned every six months and replaced with new grease. The ball screw lubricated with lubricating oil should be refueled once a day before machine operation;
4) Pay attention to avoiding hard dust or chips from entering the protective cover of the screw and colliding with it during operation. If the protective device is damaged, it should be replaced in a timely manner.
3. Maintenance of the main drive chain
1) Regularly adjust the tightness of the spindle drive belt;
2) Prevent various impurities from entering the fuel tank. Replace the lubricating oil once a year;
3) Keep the connection between the spindle and the tool handle clean. It is necessary to adjust the displacement of the hydraulic cylinder and piston in a timely manner;
4) Timely adjust the counterweight.
4. Hydraulic system maintenance
1) Regularly filter or replace the oil;
2) Control the temperature of the oil in the hydraulic system;
3) Prevent hydraulic system leakage;
4) Regularly inspect and clean the fuel tank and pipelines;
5) Implement a daily inspection system.
5. Pneumatic system maintenance
1) Remove impurities and moisture from compressed air;
2) Check the oil supply volume of the oil mist eliminator in the system;
3) Maintain the sealing of the system;
4) Pay attention to adjusting work pressure;
5) Clean or replace pneumatic components and filter elements.
