CNC Machine Components

CNC machines are composed of several key components, including:

Computer: The brains of the operation, the computer houses the CNC software and controls the machine's movements. The computer can be a dedicated system or a networked computer shared between multiple machines.

Controller: The controller manages the communication between the computer and the various machine components, ensuring smooth operation of the machine.

Drive System: The drive system manages the motors that control the machine's movements, ensuring accurate and repeatable movements of the machine head and tool.

Worktable: The worktable is the surface on which the workpiece is placed. It is typically designed to be adjustable in size and capable of holding large or small parts.

Tooling: The tooling refers to the cutting bits, drills, routers, etc. used to perform the actual manufacturing operations on the workpiece. Tooling is typically interchangeable and can be quickly swapped out depending on the required production task.
